River rafting and a mountain wine experience with winemakers of El Dorado wine region, the highlands of the Sierra Foothills.  Four people (two couples) enjoy 3 nights with us in the month of June, 2023! 

 

Day 1.) Arrive for a welcome lunch and tasting at picture-perfect, Edio Vineyards at Delfino Farms for a farm lunch with Rhone wines and their farm-made baked goods. 

Settle in your mountain cabin and get ready for the next day of river rafting on the roaring American River.

 

Day 2.) We’ll outfit you for a day on the river with winemaker and principal of Lava Cap Winery, Nolan Jones.  

Followed by a cozy dinner in the Boeger Winery historic cellar (listed on the National Register of Historic places) and wines from the family’s 50-year cellar.  

 

Day 3.) The day starts with a wine country Tapas Brunch at Element 79 Vineyards - Morning favorites as Tapas paired with bubbles and other wines then an adventure to the top of the winery’s mountain vineyard. 

Next, sit in with a group of our winemakers to taste The Classic to the Obscure a multi-winemaker tasting at Madrona Vineyards conducted by winemaker/grower, Paul Bush. Taste a line-up of varietals from Chardonnay to Cinsault and Vermentino to Aglianico and Malbec.

 

Free time before a casual dinner at celebrated Miraflores Winery surrounded by an alpine covered hillside. Conclude with dessert fireside, where you will observe a blanket of stars with stars in your glass of Gwinllan Estate sparkling wine! The estate’s stunning location provides a view as far as the eye can see.
